...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH
SATURDAY EVENING...

THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* FOR PORTIONS OF THE POTOMAC HIGHLANDS INCLUDING ALLEGANY COUNTY
IN MARYLAND...MINERAL...GRANT...AND PENDLETON COUNTIES IN WEST
VIRGINIA...AND HIGHLAND COUNTY IN VIRGINIA.

* FROM THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING.

* MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 50S AND LOWER 60S WILL CAUSE
SIGNIFICANT MELTING OF THE SNOW PACK THAT EXISTS OVER WEST-
FACING SLOPES OF THE ALLEGHENY AND POTOMAC HIGHLANDS. THE
MELTING SNOW...COMBINED WITH RAIN THAT IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN
THURSDAY EVENING...MAY RESULT IN ENOUGH RUNOFF TO PRODUCE
FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS BEGINNING THURSDAY NIGHT.

* PERIODS OF RAIN WILL CONTINUE FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY. THE RAIN
COULD BE HEAVY AT TIMES FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY AND WILL
CONTINUE THE FLOOD THREAT ACROSS THE AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS.

MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE FLOOD WARNINGS.
THOSE LIVING IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE PREPARED TO
TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLOODING DEVELOP.
